Louis F. Finkelman

  General Notes:

Louis immigrated to the US in 1857 from Germany, according to the 1910 Federal Census of Harris County, Texas. He was the younger brother of August Fingleman. In 1860 Louis lived in Houston, in the home of Maximilian De Bajligethy and his wife Carlotta (Finkelman) De Bajligethy.

Louis lived in Houston all of his life. He was named as the surviving brother of August Fingleman in August's obituary published in a Dayton, Texas newspaper in 1922.

Louis's death certificate, which listed his son Henry Louis Finkleman as the informant, gave his mother's name as "Lottie" and his father's name as "Finkelman".
