He was a retired U.S. Army colonel and veteran of World War II, having flown in B 29's in China, Burma, India, Tinianne and Saipan. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., 8 to 9:30 a.m. Friday. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Cathedral at 10 a.m. Friday. Burial in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Survived by wife, Lois Akers Hogue; a son and daughter-in-law, Jay Hogue III and Susan Patureau Hogue, Baton Rouge; a granddaughter, Julie Anna Hogue, Baton Rouge; and two aunts, Mrs. Hubert (Louise) Banta andMrs. Nettie Hart, both of Baton Rouge. Preceded in death by father, Trudeau Joseph Hogue Sr.; mother, Ethel Hart Hogue; and a sister, Jean Hogue. Honorary pallbearers are members of MOWW, Retired Officers Association, SAR and Sons of the Confederacy. Hewas a member of St. Joseph Cathedral, graduate of St. Vincent's Academy, Catholic High School and LSU. He was past president of Louisiana Engineering Society Baton Rouge Chapter, Louisiana Engineering Society, Capital City Kiwanis Club, Sons of the American Revolution, Broadmoor Civic Association and Retired Officers Association. He was a member of Military Order of World Wars, Sons of the Confederacy, Alpha Kappa Chapter of Sigma Pi fraternity at LSU, Order of Alhambra, Baton Rouge Country Club and a number of civic organizations. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph Cathedral Organ Fund or Catholic High School.
