Samuel Carlisle, Corporal, Co. H, 18th Alabama Infantry. The Units first encounters was at Shiloh and the eighteenth suffered heavy loss's. A 125 killed are wounded out of 420 men. They also were engaged at Chickamauga, Georgia where they suffered another high loss. 22 out of 36 Officers and 300 out of 500 men. According to the Pike County Historical and Genealogy Society Samuel died at home, no details are date was given. He may have been wounded at Chickamauga.
