Ella Marie Bauer

• Obituary. ¹ Ella M. Comer, 84, of Brule died June 2, 1995 at the Ogallala Community Hospital.

She was born March 16, 1911, northwest of Brandon to John and Emma Wostenberg Bauer. She attended rural school in the Brandon and Venango area. She married James S. Comer on Sept. 9, 1933. They made their home in the Brule area. He preceded her in death Sept. 11, 1992.

Survivors include three daughters, Maxine (Joe) Kipp of Julesburg, Colo., Mary Lou (Paul) Crews of Lakeview and Lois (Stan) Schuett of Kearney; two sons, James Jr. (Rosie) of Holyoke, Colo., and Kenny (Frances) of Virginia Beach, Va.; a sister, Erma Kuskie of Grant; two brothers, Everette Bauer, of Wheatridge, Colo., and Alfred Bauer of Lakewood, Colo.; 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Services were held at the First Congregational Church in Brule with the Rev. Joan Erickson officiating. Burial was in the Brule Cemetery.

Draucker Funeral Home in Ogallala was in charge of arrangements.

Ella married James Sampson Comer, son of William Sampson Comer and Mary Etta Shoupe, on 9 Sep 1933 in Deuel Co., NE.¹ (James Sampson Comer was born on 15 Sep 1908 in Grayson Co, VA ^{2 3} and died on 11 Sep 1992 in Keith Co, NE ³.)
