bullet  General Notes:

Robert served with the Co. F 33rd. Alabama Infantry, known as the Covington and Coffee Grays. He served at the battle of Chickamauga, near Chattanooga, Tennessee. He may have been wounded, because he received a disability discharge at Chattanooga, Tennessee. Robert Survived the War. Robert applied for a Confederate Pension in Wood County, Texas Pension Number 09127

After John's death between 1852 and 1860 Robert and Gracy Caroline moved to Coffee County Alabama. However they may not have moved directly from Goshen Hill to Coffee County. During this period Robert's father-in-law, Lewis Jr. moved to Dale County, Alabama. Also in the 1860 US Census indicated that one of Robert's children was born in Florida. So they could have moved to either Dale County or Walton County, Florida or both places before moving to Coffee, County. Gracy Caroline lived in the Bullock Community in Coffee County and Robert must have lived close by because in 1870 Bullocks was in Crenshaw County and they show up on the Crenshaw County 1870 Census in Range 7 North.
Some where around 1870 John Henry, Louis A, Louis W. and Jesse A. took a train to New Orleans, Louisiana there they took a river boat to the Red River then up the Red to Jefferson, Texas from there overland to Cass County, Texas. Robert must have went to Wood County Before 1880 with the Stagners and Shamburgs.

About 1885 Jesse A, Lewis A and John Henry moved on to Wood County, Texas.
