Fingleman / Lloyd / Green

This is the family branch that we started working on first. Don's mother was born Etta Louella Fingleman, the daughter of August B. Fingleman and Ollie Ann Lloyd. Ollie was the daughter of John Nelson Lloyd of Texas and Mary Ella Hughes. Her grandparents were John Isaac Loyd of North Carolina and Tabbitha Martin of South Carolina, and her great-grandfather was John Loyd of North Carolina.

We have traced the Finglemans back to Charles Finkelman, who arrived in Texas as a Prussian immigrant in the 1850's'.

August Fingleman married Florence Green of Louisiana in the 1870's, and we have found quite a bit of information about the Green family going back to Pennsylvania and Ireland in the 1700's.
