Survived by his loving wife, Jo Cornett of Oakmont and predeceased by his devoted sisters Mrs. Samuel G. Lutz of Los Angeles and Mrs. W.F. Heintzelman of Camp Hill, PA. Survived by nephews Richard Heintzelman and Jack Heintzelman and niece Susan Keeffee. Also step daughter Christine Donovan, San Diego; step sons Dr. and Mrs. Gregory White, Severna Park, MD; CDR and Mrs. Timothy White, Tampa, FL; Step grandchildren Erin Donovan, Drew Donovan, Eric White, Jeff White, Katie White, Nikki Rhodin and Jason Rhodin. Mr. Cornett was born in Elk Creek, VA and grew up in West Lafayette, IN, graduating from Purdue University in 1935. Member of Phi Kappa Sigma fraternity and Sigma Delta Chi professional journalistic fraternity. Served in various business, research and administration positions with the University of California system from 1944 until 1975. At Mr. Cornett's request private interment will be at Sunset View Cemetery in Berkeley. If desired, donations in his memory can be made to VNA/Home Hospice of Sonoma County, 1110 N. Dutton Ave., Santa Rosa, CA 95401. Arrangements thru NEPTUNE SOCIETY OF SANTA ROSA.
