• Obituary. 4 FLAT RIDGE \endash Wesley Glea Cornett, 94, of Flatridge, a resident of Grayson Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Independence, died Jan. 12, 2009 at the center.
He was born Dec. 1, 1914 in Flatridge to Fitzhugh and Essie Cornett Cornett.
He is survived by his wife, Annie Perkins Cornett, a resident of Grayson Nursing & Rehabilitation Center; two daughters and sons-in-law, Georgie and Gearl Cornett and Nancy and Billy Johnson, all of Flatridge; one son, Jimmie Cornett of Flatridge; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
His funeral was conducted Jan. 15 at the Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home Chapel, Independence, with burial in Honey Grove Cemetery in Flatridge. The Revs. Wilmer Shepherd and Doug Halsey officiated.
