Dorothy Miller was born June 30, 1915 in Milam County to William Wesley Lantrip, Sr. and Kathryn Turney Lantrip.
She graduated with honors from Cameron Yoe High School. She was a long-time resident of Lake Charles, LA and a dental assistant for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Ernest Miller; father, William Wesley Lantrip, Sr.; mother, Kathryn Turney Lantrip; daughter, Dorothy Renee Gill; sister, Joy Plentl; and two brother-in-laws, Homer Plentl and Tom Burke.
Survivors include son, Cyrus "Buzzy" Miller and wife, Dianne, of Farmers Branch; daughter, Cynthia Kay Hickman and husband, John, of Katy; son, Dr. Travis Todd Miller and wife, Leisa, of Orange; brother, William Wesley "Billy" Lantrip Jr. and wife, Juanita, of Sulphur, La.; sister, Kathryn Ann Burke of Tulsa, OK; brother Bob Turney Lantrip and wife, Nanette, of Houston; grandsons, Michael Conn Gill and Neil Jennings Gill; great-grandson, Cade Gill and great-granddaughter, Cailee Gill, all of Lake Charles, LA; granddaughter, Michelle Miller of Dallas and grandson Kevin Scott Miller and wife, Kathy; and great-grandsons, Hunter Miller and Beau Miller of Flower Mound; grandsons, Ashton Paul Hickman and Zane Wilbert Hickman of Katy; granddaughters, Kelsey Miller of Nederland and Madison Miller and McCartney Miller of Orange.
