• Obituary: Richmond Register, 2 Dec 2003, KY. Oma Pigman Holt age 81 of Oak St. Berea died Thursday Nov. 27, 2003 at Berea Hospital. Oma was born in Knott Co. on August 21, 1922 to the late Robert Lee and Leanna Combs Pigman. Oma was a retired JC Penny employee, and a member of the Berea Baptist Church. Oma was preceded in death by her husband Ottis L. Holt of Berea; her parents Robert and Leanna Pigman, one brother Robert Roland Pigman; five sisters Edna Pigman Taylor (Jesse), Alta Marie Pigman, Betty Jean Pigman all of Berea Annice Pigman Reynolds of Griffin, GA and Mary Pigman Walker.
She is survived by one daughter Diane L. Helm Scott; one granddaughter Elizabeth D. Helm, one grandson Steven V. Helm of California; several nieces and nephews and two special friends Barbara Neeley and Rose Marie Stephens of Berea.
Graveside services will be 11:30 a.m. Tuesday December 2, 2003 at Berea Cemetery at the Pigman gravesite. Pastor Kevin Slemp of Berea Baptist Church will be officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Lakes Funeral Home in Berea.
