Mary Osborne

• Fact 1. ³ Mary is the daughter of Ezekial "Zeke" Osborne and Johannah Lewis. (Their names are given in the death certificate.)

She was born near North Fork, Ashe county, NC and is a sister to Wiley, Hiram, Alexander, Nancy, twins Amanda and Andrew and twins Melvin and William - all of them older than she.

In the 1870 and 1880 censuses Mary lives with her father and siblings though her father is not noted to be a widower. It is likely her mother died shortly after Mary's birth.

Mary was admitted to the asylum in the Fall of 1932 and died early in 1936 of cardiorenal disease.

Mary's marker is in error with the year of birth given as 1886. Her death certificate and the census records make it clear she was born in 1864.
