• Obituary: Houston Chronicle, 28 Mar 2008, Harris CO, TX. CHARLES W. REED, 76, retired SWBT area manager, succumbed to the Lord's call surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, March 25, 2008. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Vera; 2 daughters: Melody Luker and husband Ernest; Naomi Dooley and husband Russell Johnson; 4 sons: Jerry Reed and wife Marie, Phillip Reed and wife Susan, Gregory Reed and wife Connie, Jonathan Reed and wife Alma and daughter in law, Wanna Reed Johnson; 13 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; 1 brother, James W. Reed and 1 sister, Mildred Sanderlin. He was preceded in death by his son Timothy; parents, T. W. and Katie Reed; 3 brothers, Irvin, Oscar and Lawrence Reed. He was a faithful member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 215 Rittenhouse, Houston, where his victory service will be held, Saturday, March 29th, 2008 at 1pm. Visitation for family and friends will be held at Earthman's Resthaven on I-45N north of Greens Rd on Friday from 6:00 - 9:00 pm.
