Danny was born Thursday, March 26, 1959, in Beaumont, Texas, to Ronald and Dorothy Lee Smith Dempsey. He is survived by his loving wife of 24 years Linda Ruth Payton Dempsey; his daughters, Ruth Lavell Dempsey, and, Naomi Lee Dempsey; his adopted children from 23 yrs as youth minister; his brothers, David Dempsey and wife Janice, Dale Dempsey and wife Dea, Darrell Dempsey; sisters, Darlene Payton and husband Tim, Darla McAdams, Diane Crandall and husband Chad; grandchildren, Summer Alexis and Autumn Serenity Clay, Jaylin Celeste and Breanna Kylin Grace Angel; mother and father in law, Jack and Connie Payton; numerous nieces and nephews; other loving family members and friends. Danny was not only a youth minister for 23 years, he was also a loving and caring LVN. Visitation was held Friday February 13, 2009; Services were held at Neal Funeral Home Chapel, Saturday, February 14, 2009, at 2:00 PM. Reverend Charles Treadway and Reverend Stephen Horne, Sr. officiating. All services were under the trusted care of Neal Funeral Home
Danny married Linda Ruth Payton, daughter of Jack Tim Payton and Connie Ruth Hill.
