Margaret Madeline Bonin

• Obituary. ² Margaret M. Parent, age 95 of Port Neches, Texas passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at Cypress Glenn East in Port Arthur, Texas.

She was born on March 24, 1918 in Jeanerette, Louisiana to William and Euphemie Broussard Bonin.

Margaret was a resident of the Port Arthur/ Groves area for over 70 years. Margaret was a graduate of Jeanerette High School and continued her education to obtain a LVN license where she worked at Mid-Jefferson Hospital. During WWII she was employed at Standard Brass as a key punch operator for 5 years and she was director of Religious Education (DRE) at St. James Catholic Church at which time Margaret earned a Master of Theology degree and the Bishop's Medal from the Catholic Diocese of Beaumont.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents and husband Fred Parent.

She is survived by her son, Fred and his wife Kathy Parent; daughters, Patricia Creed and Susan and her husband Mike Felix; brother, Col. Louis Bonin (Ret.); sister, Evelyn Duhon; seven grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Interment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Groves, Texas.

Margaret married Fred Francis Parent Sr. (Fred Francis Parent Sr. was born on 13 Jul 1910 in St. Martin Parish, LA ^{3 4} and died on 9 Feb 1980 in Jefferson Co., TX ⁴.)

Margaret next married John Benjamin Fingleman, son of August Ben Fingleman and Ollie Ann Lloyd, on 12 May 1980 in Chambers CO, TX.¹ (John Benjamin Fingleman was born on 23 Mar 1928 in Dayton, Liberty CO, TX ⁵ and died on 29 Jul 1982 in Dayton, Liberty CO, TX ⁶.)

Margaret next married Lawrence C. Hughes.
