Services will be at noon Monday at Memorial Park Funeral Home with burial in Memorial Park. He was a member of Galloway United Methodist Church for more than 75 years, a World War I Navy veteran, a member of Park Avenue Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite, York Rite Shrine and the American Legion. Mr. Howell, the widower of Mignon Howell and Corrine Howell, leaves a daughter, Mary Jane Hargraves of Alabaster, Ala.; two brothers, George Howell of Memphis and Thomas Howell of Jasper, Ala., six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorials be sent to Galloway United Methodist Church.
