• Obituary. ² Pearl Brock Dobson, 95 of Manchester, KY, widow of the late Orie Dobson, passed away Mon, April 21, 2008 at Manchester Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family. Born in Clay County, KY, Oct 26, 1912, she was the daughter of the late William Brock and Laura Chadwell Brock. A beloved mother, grandmother and homemaker, she was a member and former Sunday School teacher at Horse Creek Baptist Church. She was also a partner in Dobson Super Market for more than 50 years. She is survived by a daughter, Alma Faye Gregory (Bryan) of Manchester, and a son, Jimmy Dobson (Deborah) of Manchester. She is also survived by her grandchildren: LaBerta Webb White (Michael), Carmen Webb Lewis (Charles), Jonathan Orie Dobson (Marthanna), Nicholas Lambert Dobson and Tanner Brock Dobson, all of Manchester, as well as great grandchildren Nathan Michael White, Bailey Isabella Lewis and Presley Berton Lewis, all of Manchester. Also surviving are the following brothers and sisters: Robert Brock of Red Oak, TX, Sandra Brock of Pehachati, CA and Peggy Marzar of Springfield, OR. She was preceded in death by her eldest son, Wendell Dobson; brothers, T. Brock, Billy Brock and Thomas Brock; and a special cousin, J. W. Beatty.

Pearl married Orie Dobson, son of James Dobson and Sarah Cordilla Kelley. (Orie Dobson was born on 22 Feb 1908 in Perry CO, KY ³ and died on 5 May 1977 in Clay Co., KY ⁴.)
