Callie Collins Eller Callie Collins Eller, 84, of Ice Plant St., Elk Park, died Saturday, March 04, 2006 at the Canon Memorial Hospital in Linville. A native of Avery County, she was a daughter of the late Charlie and Belle Dishman Hopson. She was a member of the Little Elk Mountain Free Will Baptist Church and had worked for Vaughn's Nursery and in the kitchen at Cannon Memorial Hospital. She enjoyed sewing and working in flowers. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Collins. She is survived by her daughters, Tena Davis Brinkley, and her husband, Steve, of Elk Park, Joan Waycaster of Roan Mountain, TN, Connie Morton, and her husband, Michael, of Elk Park; sons, Carroll Collins of Elk Park, Don Collins, and his wife, Mary Ellen, of Laurens, SC, Charles Calhoun, and his wife, Vickie, of Elk Park; nine grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. Funeral services for Callie M. Eller will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. Sunday from the Grandfather Chapel of the Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home with the Rev. Jim Storey officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until the service hour Sunday evening at the funeral home. Interment and graveside services will be held at 11:00 Monday in the Elk Park Cemetery.
