• Obituary: Daytona Beach New Journal: Valusia Co., FL. ² Thelma T. Bennington, 96, of Edgewater, a medical assistant for Lilly OB/GYN, Beckley, W.VA for 15 years before her retirement, died Thursday, January 17, 2013 at home. Mrs. Bennington was born in Dunloop, W. VA and moved to the area 28 years ago from Marietta, OH. She attended The Upper Room Chapel, Oak Hill and enjoyed reading and spending time with her family. She is survived by three sons, Jerry (Kay) of Mims; Don (Gigi) of Edgewater and Randy (Judy) of Dahlonega, GA; eight grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren and her caregivers, Marcell and Billy Hill of Edgewater. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Bennington; two brothers and two sisters. Memorial service will be 2PM Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at The Upper Room Chapel with Pastor Chuck VanOrsdale and Mr. Bob Cole of Port Orange, officiating. Cremation will be by Dudley Crematory, New Smyrna Beach. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Upper Room Chapel, 159 N. Gaines St., Oak Hill, FL 32759.
