Billie Armstrong Shaw died peacefully, New Years Eve with her beloved daughter & son in law by her side. Born in Rosebud, Texas on August 29, 1933 to Margaret and James Edward Knowles. Billie was a resident of San Antonio & Boerne, Texas for the past 50 years. Billie, the consummate entrepreneur, had many business ventures over the past 4 decades. Her most successful endeavor became the now famous, Fickle Pickles. Billie, lovingly known as "The Pickle Lady", turned a family recipe into a product enjoyed by 10's of 1000s throughout the United States and Abroad. Billie is survived by her daughter, Lisa A. Obriotti, son-in-law, Jake Obriotti, sister Virginia Webb, brother-in-law Jesse Webb of Rockport, Texas; step daughters Vicki Walters and Cathy Brown and dear Charles W. Armstrong. Special thanks to her precious care giver, Patricia Ramirez. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, Jan 5, 2009, 10 a.m. at the Mausoleum Chapel of Holy Cross Cemetery, 17501 Nacogdoches, San Antonio, TX.
