• Obituary: Galveston County Daily News, 19 Jan 2006, Galveston CO, TX. ² GALVESTON ? Joseph Roy Mancuso, 69, passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2006. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, January 20, 2006, in the Memorial Room of Broadway Funeral, Galveston. Burial will follow services Friday at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Dickinson, Texas. Gathering for visitation will be held on Thursday, January 19, 2006, also in the Memorial Room of Broadway Funeral Home. Mr. Mancuso?s family will be receiving friends for visitation at the funeral home Thursday evening from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Mr. Mancuso was born on Galveston Island December 12, 1936. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph D. Mancuso and wife, Virginia. Growing up on the island, he graduated with Ball High School?s ?Class of ?56? and remained an island resident lifelong. He enjoyed music and, as a professional drummer, he played the drums with many local bands throughout the course of his life. He will be remembered for his wonderful musical talent and will be sadly missed.

Mr. Mancuso is survived by his wife, Sandy of Galveston, Texas and also his children, Danny Mancuso and wife, Maureen of Hitchcock, Texas, Tony Mancuso and wife, Cheryl of Galveston, Texas, David Mancuso and wife, Lynn of Houston, Texas, Joseph Richard Weedman of Galveston, Texas, Daisy Ordonez and husband, Tino of Galveston, Texas, Windi Weedman of Galveston, Texas and Stacy Harville of Virginia. Sharing in his loss, too, are Mr. Mancuso?s loving grandchildren and his one great-grandchild. He is also survived by his sister, Johanna Blume of Galveston, Texas, numerous nieces and nephews, his former wife, Jean Mancuso of Galveston, a host of other loving family and friends.

Pallbearers will be family members and friends.
