• Obituary: Baytown Sun, 30 Jan 2005, Baytown, Harris CO, TX. ³ Leonida L. (Babe) Coleman passed away Friday, Jan. 28, 2005, at her home in Baytown. She was born May 14, 1920 in Wichita Falls and raised in Baytown. She was a Past Matron for the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 465 in Cleveland and a former member of the Rural Shade Baptist Church in Cleveland. She attended First Baptist Church in Baytown and Highlands Senior Center.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, Edmon L. Coleman; parents, Clarence and Amelia Rosser; grandson, Robbie Smith; and brother, Clarence Rosser Jr. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jo Ann (Jody) and Herman (Smitty) Smith; grandson, Eddie Smith; sister and brother-in-law, Billie and George Wacusek; nieces, Ona Mae Hulsey, Linda Hendricks, Terry Cherry and Twyla Greer; and several great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, Jan. 31, 2004, at 10 a.m. at Navarre Funeral Home with Rev. Byron E. Reeves officiating. A graveside service conducted by the O.E.S. Chapter 465, will follow at Ryan Cemetery in Tarkington. Visitation will be Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Lee Hendricks, Skip Brown, Mike Knight, Erwin Hendricks, Bill Moore and Hank DeBruhl.

Leonida married Edmon Lee Coleman, son of Trueman Lorenzo Coleman and Nettie Wells, on 9 Apr 1935.¹ (Edmon Lee Coleman was born on 1 Jul 1915 in Tarkington Prairie, Liberty CO, TX ¹ and died on 7 May 1995 in Houston, Harris Co, TX ^{1 4}.)
