Funeral services were held Tuesday, October 24, at Allison Funeral Service Chapel in Liberty for Harrell Colwell Jr., 58, of Liberty, with the Revs. V.R. Hylton and John Black officiating. Interment followed at Fairlawn Cemetery in Liberty.He was born December 12, 1947 in Lufkin, the son of Harrell Colwell sr. and Orpha Poland Caldwell. He graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in Baytown and was a retired head lineman for Centerpoint Entergy. He enjoyed faring and ranching and loved to spend time with his family and friends, especially with his Dad and his grandchildren.Mr. Colwell died on October 22, 2006, at San Janice Methodist Hospital in Baytown. He was preceded in death by his mother, Orpha Poland Colwell; and one brother, Ronald Wesley Colwell.Survivors include his father, Harrell Colwell Sr.; wife, Reita Catherine Norman Colwell; sons, Wesley Harrell Colwell and wife, Angela, Lloyd Alan Griffith; daughters, Scotty Lynette Nugent and husband, Mike, Jo Lynette Farabee and husband, Mike; grandchildren, Cody and Kelsey Duff, Ryan and Jackson Colwell, Megan and Mikaela Farabee; and numerous other relatives and friends.Allison Funeral Service, Liberty, was in charge of arrangements.

Harrell married Reita Katherine Norman, daughter of William Ole Norman and Reita Lucille Lafore (LaFour).
