• Obituary: Baytown Sun, 12 Aug 2005, Harris CO, TX. ² Clara Belle LaFour, 95, of Baytown, passed away Thursday, August 11, 2005. She was born March 26, 1910, in Moss Bluff, Texas, to John Bell and Emma Lou (Holiday) Capps; she was the youngest of six children. Clara was a quiet person, but will be remembered for her great cooking. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, George Morgan LaFour; son, Buddy LaFour; granddaughters, Clara Beth Stubbs and Judy Lynn Ashley. She is survived by three loving daughters, Naomi Lee Geisendorff, Lou Mengo and Sharon Elliott; 13 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Honoring the family as pallbearers are Alton Arnett, Bubba Geisendorff, Brett Geisendorff, Grady Ashley, Mark Van Cleave and Dean Mengo.

The family will receive friends 6 pm to 8 pm Friday, August 12, 2005, at L.A. Crespo Funeral Directors, 6123 Garth Rd. Service of remembrance will be held 11:00 am Saturday, August 13, 2005, at Middleton United Methodist Church located in Wallisville, TX. Pastor John Black will be officiating with interment to follow at Wallisville Cemetery.

Clara married George Morgan Lafore (LaFour), son of Emmett Waverly Lafore (LaFour) and Estella Byerly. (George Morgan Lafore (LaFour) was born on 18 Mar 1905 in Chambers CO, TX ³ and died on 18 Feb 1981 in Harris CO, TX ⁴.)
