Douglas Springer conducted the funeral service at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale on April 6, 2007. Burial was in the Liberty Cemetery at Hanover, Texas.
Mr. Davidson was born on April 7, 1928 in Hanover, Texas to William (Bill) and Bertha (Hughes) Davidson. He married Elda Faye Gilliland on June 6, 1954 at Milano. He was a life long farmer and rancher. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters: Fettia Lee Gaston, Billie Weathers and Betty Silvey and brothers: John Davidson and an infant brother.
He is survived by his wife, Faye of Rockdale, sons: Henry O. Davidson, Jr., and wife Sheila, Billy Lloyd Davidson and wife Leslie and Ricky Joe Davidson and wife Marlis; daughter Lisa Faye Gerthe and husband Duane all of Rockdale; brothers: Carrol Davidson of Milano and Gail Davidson of Gause; grandchildren: Duane Scott Davidson and Libbie, Dee Anne Wetzel and Josh, Brooksy Lynn Fisher and Colby, Haley Wynn Davidson, Meagan Beth Davidson, Heath Lloyd Davidson, Curtis Joe Davidson, Will Owen Davidson, Reed Oliver Davidson, Alesi Allane Mercedes Gerthe, Ayrton Gunar Daimler Gerthe and Step grandchildren: Kelly Tovar and Kyler Puckett; great grandchildren: Deven and Alexis Davidson, Joshua, Ashlyn and Ayla Wetzel and step great grandson, Tucker Tovar.
He was a member of Rockdale Full Gospel Church, veteran of the Korean Conflict where he served as a US Army Sergeant and a member of the Rockdale VFW. He was an avid trail rider and Leader of "Big H Riders", Charter member of the Rockdale Roping and Cutting Club. He was the first stock producer for the Rockdale Fair & Rodeo. He loved being outdoors with his garden and many animals and he loved to sing Gospel Music.
