• Obituary: Herrodsberg Harold, 22 Aug 2002, Mercer Co, KY. 5 Bernice Sizemore, 85, of Pleasant Hill Drive, Burgin, died Thursday, August 15, 2002 at his residence.
Born December 8, 1916 in Perry County, he was the son of the late Adolph and Annie Cornett Sizemore.
He was a former coal miner, construction worker and a retired employee of the City of Hazard.
He was a member of Harrodsburg Pentecostal Church and enjoyed traveling, cooking and fishing.
Survivors include: his wife, Mollie Bowling Sizemore; two daughters, Delores (David) Avington, Parkersburg, WV, and Mrs. Betty (Gene) Motley, Mercer County; two brothers, Delbert Sizemore, Lexington, and Dewey Sizemore, Ashland; five sisters, Florence Langley and Athelene Brown, both of Lexington, Lela Byrd and Irene Peters, both of Hazard, and Beulah Williams, Middletown, OH; four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Elmer Sizemore, and a sister, Margaret Howard.
Funeral services were held Sunday, August 18, at Shawnee Run Baptist Church with Bro. Bobby Potts and Bro. Lester Tirey officiating. Burial was in the Shawnee Run Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Lath David Motley, Robert Webb, William David Brown, Wallace Williams, Adolph Sizemore, William Nichols Brown, Elbert Michael Bowling, James Combs III, Richard Walter Langley Jr. and Michael Patrick Langley.
Expressions of Sympathy may take the form of donations to the Charity of one?s choice.
Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
