Thomas Irvin Reed Draft Card

Irvin Reed was Don's uncle, the brother of his father Henry Lawrence Reed. He was born in Bryan, Texas and was 27 years old when this draft card was complete on October 28, 1940. He worked for Houston Electric Company, and he listed his wife Lanore as the person who would always know his address. Irvin subsequently joined the US Navy and served in the Pacific theater, where he lost a leg.

Irvin was five feet eleven inches tall and weighed 185 pounds. He had hazel eyes, brown hair and a ruddy complexion.
