Max Iverson Summerlin Draft Card

Max Summerlin was Don's brother's father-in-law, the father of Carol Summerlin. He was 26 years old on October 26, 1940 when he signed this draft card. Max lived in Port Arthur, Texas and worked for the Texas Company, which sold oil and petroleum products under the brand name "Texaco", and later changed its corporate name to Texaco, Inc.

Max was five feet eight and a half inches tall and weighed 132 pounds according to this draft card, with blue eyes, brown hair and a light brown complexion. He gave the name of his brother, Brady Vaughn Summerlin, as a person who would always know his address.
