Marcus Martin Cunningham Draft Card

Marcus Martin (Cotton) Cunningham was Jennifer's uncle, the husband of her aunt Bernice (Bun) Nicholson Cunningham. He was 30 years old on October 16, 1940, having been born in Kountze, Texas. He listed his wife as the person who would always know his address.

Cotton worked at the same place that Weldon Shirley worked, Houston Slush Pump Repair Company. Weldon, whose draft card can also be seen here, married Bun's twin sister, Nell Nicholson.

Cotton was five feet eight inches tall and weighed 167 pounds. He had blue eyes, blonde hair and a light complexion.
