A La King Sauce
Take your leftover ham, chicken, turkey or you can use shrimp or lobster and put it in this sauce.
* 3/4 cup Carnation milk may be substituted for the milk and cream
Melt butter, add flour and a little paprika. Cook for 5 minutes. Add chicken stock, milk and cream. Bring to a boil, put over hot - not boiling - water in a double boiler, and cook 15 minutes.
Remove from heat and add beaten egg yolks, pimentos, mushrooms and cooked green bell peppers. Season with salt, pepper and sherry.
To this amount of sauce you would add 2 cups of cooked chicken or turkey cut in large cubes, or shrimp, ham or whatever you choose to a la king.
