Tomato Aspic Salad
Put these on to simmer 15 minutes:
- 1 #2 can tomato juice (13-1/2 oz)
- 1 bay leaf
- celery
- 1 onion, sliced
Strain the hot juice and add:
- 1 pkg. lemon Jell-O
- 1 envelope Knox unflavored gelatin dissolved in 1/4 cup water
- 1 cup celery, diced
- 1 cup green pepper, diced
- 1/2 tsp. Tabasco sauce
- 1 small can tiny green peas
- salt and pepper to taste
- shake of paprika
- shake of Worcestershire sauce
Stir well to dissolve the gelatin. Put in individual molds and refrigerate until set.
Serve on a bed of lettuce.
