Seven Layer Salad
Use a large clear glass salad bowl and arrange layers as follows: lettuce, celery, green pepper, onion and peas. Spread mayonnaise over last layer and sprinkle sugar over that. Sprinkle the cheese over top and refrigerate 4 hours or overnight. Sprinkle bacon over top just before serving.
VARIATION: Fill bowl one half full of lettuce; use 3/4 cup each of purple onion, bell pepper and celery. Substitute a 10 oz. pkg. of frozen peas, cooked and drained instead of canned peas, and 2 cups Miracle Whip instead of mayonnaise. Sprinkle 2 tsp. sugar over salad, cover with Parmesan cheese and sprinkle with Bacos.
