Bing Cherry Christmas Salad
Chop pineapple and cherries. Pour juice from both cans into a pan and bring to a boil. Mix gelatin in cold water and add to the juice. Stir well to dissolve the gelatin. Let cool until just warm.
Whip cream with sugar, fold in Miracle Whip. Add fruit, marshmallows, pecans and juice mixture to the whipped cream mixture.
Pour into a 13x9 pyrex pan and chill until set. Keep in the refrigerator.
Note: recently the "heavy syrup" in the canned cherries has not been very heavy - add some sugar to the juice before boiling if necessary.
