Deluxe Beef Stew

Layer in a baking pan:

• 2-1/2 lbs. stew beef
• 8-10 carrots, split in layers
• Layer of onions, sliced
• Layer of mushrooms
• Layer of diced green pepper
• celery (if desired)

Mix together and use as a layer:

• 2-1/2 large cans of tomatoes
• 1-1/2 tsp salt
• 1/4 tsp. allspice
• 3/4 cup Burgundy Wine
• 1/2 cup minute tapioca

Top with 1/4 cup dry bread crumbs

Cover and do not open pan. Bake at 300° F for 4 hours. Serve on rice.
