Vanilla Cookies

• 1-1/2 cups sifted flour
• 1/2 tsp. salt
• 1 tsp. baking powder
• 1/2 cup shortening, softened
• 1 egg, unbeaten
• 2/3 cup sugar
• 1/2 tsp. vanilla
• 1 tbl. milk

Sift together the flour, salt and baking powder. Add rest of ingredients.

Beat for 3 minutes to mix thoroughly all ingredients. Roll into 1 inch balls and place on cooke sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake at 375° F for 12 minutes.

For Refrigerator Cookies:

Roll vanilla cookie dough in waxed paper. Chill until roll is firm or store in refrigerator until ready to use.

Slice and place on cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake at 375° F for 12 minutes.
