Divinity

• 2-1/2 cups sugar
• 2 egg whites
• 1/2 cup water
• 1/2 cup white Karo
• 1 tsp. vanilla
• 1 cup pecan halves

Boil water, sugar and Karo until it forms a hard ball in water.

Pour 1/2 mixture in a fine stream into beaten egg whites.

Put remainder back on the fire and cook until it forms a hard ball when dropped on table or drainboard. Then pour this into the egg mixture beating all the time.

Add 1 tsp. vanilla and nuts.

Pour or drop onto a buttered dish.
