Butterscotch Tea Rolls
This is a recipe that Charlie and his friends loved. Very good for Church Circles and Ladies' Teas. Bob loves them for breakfast.
Use Don's Dinner Rolls recipe or use Hot Roll Mix (Don's is better). You can use your own roll recipe if you prefer as long as it has eggs in it.
Before final rise of the roll recipe, work dough down and roll out. Spread with melted butter and sprinkle a mixture of sugar and cinnamon on top of the buttered dough (the sugar and cinnamon are optional but it makes a better roll). Roll up and slice into 1/2" thick pieces.
For the glaze:
Mix the glaze ingredients well, and spoon some of the glaze into the bottom of each cup in a greased muffin tin. Place the sliced roll dough on top of the glaze in each cup.
Let rise until double in bulk and cook at 400° F for 12-15 minutes.
