Canned Half Peaches


Wash, peel and halve peaches. Place in large container with water and cook until peaches are done. Cook rather slowly and stir.

Place 1 cup sugar in each quart jar. Fill quart jars with cooked peaches. Seal and turn upside down to cool.

OR

Make thick syrup - 2 to 1 sugar to water (2 cups sugar, 1 cup water) Place uncooked peaches in jar and pour thick syrup over peaches. Seal and cook in water bath for 1 hour.
